She's Gone

It has been a very hard weekend. We lost Maple Friday night. Frank buried her at our favorite climbing place here in Germany that she loved to go to in the forest, by the rock. Cooper is handling better than us. He told me as I cried "It's okay mommy, we still have Lily and Maya and daddy" and "We can get another dog and name her Maple." I don't really feel like writing about it though because it is too sad. We love her and miss her and always will remember her.

    It is so hard to lose a family member. You gave her everything she ever needed, including a second chance, and she lived a full and happy life. I am so sorry for your loss. Love you all. Virtual hugs.

    We are crying with you, Mandy. And remembering that special indomitable fuzzy spirit. Hold tight to each other and those good memories. How is Maya taking it?
